About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #140521 at Bloom Therapy LA. If you choose to work with me I will show up for you as my whole self. For me, being authentic means that my outside roles as a partner, parent, friend, family member, and a part of our larger society help to inform my empathy. I connect with my clients through humor, a love of culture, and a deep well of compassion.

My Training and Experience

While working on my Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology from Mount Saint Mary's University, I completed a traineeship at the Maple Counseling Center. At Maple Center, I was trained in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theories and practices. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I honed my therapeutic skillset through my work in private practice and intensive outpatient programs. I was honored to spend time working with teens and their families as they navigated their way out of crisis and into healing.

In the fall of 2022 I took the Externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and have fallen head over heals for the model. I have since participated in Core Skills training, and regular EFT supervision to sharpen my skills and ensure that couples are receiving the best possible care.

All of my training and experience has helped me to cultivate a culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and non-judgmental stance.

Individual Therapy

I view clients holistically, aiding them to discover their truest and deepest self. For me, working with a psychodynamic and attachment oriented lens means helping clients to understand how early experiences have shaped the way they interact with themselves, others, and the world around us. I work with clients to understand what was internalized while growing up, and use this insight to break out of cycles that are no longer working. I love to watch my clients get back in touch with their inner child, and relearn what brings them joy and fulfillment.

Couples Therapy

Utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy, I guide couples through a process of discovery and healing. Together, we assess and understand the cycle that is taking the couple off track and begin to disrupt this pattern. When the conflict cycle loses its hold on a couple, they can once again find the parts of their relationship and themselves that created their beautiful connection, and let go of the fears that interrupt it. Through this work couples feel the life changing power of a secure attachment.
